What You’ll Do

  • Lead family law cases from intake to resolution: divorce, custody, support, alimony, and paternity.
  • Litigate family law cases from inception, to settlement or trial.
  • Meet divorce clients with empathy and strong advocacy.
  • Develop strategic case approaches through thorough research and analysis.
  • Draft legal pleadings, motions, briefs, and court documents.
  • Explain complex legal issues and support clients throughout their domestic relations case.
  • Advocate for clients in family law court, mediations, and depositions.
  • Negotiate and finalize settlements.
  • Stay abreast of family law statutes and case law.
  • Collaborate with a dedicated, supportive legal team.
  • Consistently deliver results and meet deadlines, communicating case statuses to the partnership on a regular basis.

Requirements

What You’ll Need

  • Extensive NC Family Law attorney experience
  • JD from accredited law school
  • Active North Carolina Bar license
  • Ability to manage associate attorneys
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Compassionate, client-focused work ethic
  • Ownership mindset and drive to succeed

Compensation

Base salary $140,000 – 170,000, plus bonus and incentive opportunity and future leadership of an expanding office. Complete and total back office support and a proven marketing/leads system provided. A comprehensive benefits package and retirement plan are offered.
