About the role

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Perform the full range of unit, intermediate and depot level maintenance on single rotor helicopters powered by turbine engines.

Conduct inspections on rotary wing aircraft and systems.

Perform post flight inspections.

Check technical guides to ensure they include up-to-date changes.

Troubleshoot malfunctions to determine causes and required repairs.

Conduct maintenance operational checks or functional tests of aircraft and systems.

Rigs complete engine and flight control systems.

Remove, disassemble, inspect, repair on major aircraft assemblies and subassemblies.

Some Federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone - no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
