Statistician

The incumbent will serve as a Statistician in the Risk Management Agency (RMA), Deputy Administrator for Product Management, Actuarial, Filing and Prices Division, Actuarial Branch. As such, the employee is responsible for conducting complex statistical analysis, developing and validating actuarial rates and yield models, assessing program impacts, and contributing to the design and evaluation of crop insurance products and serves as a technical authority on statistical methodologies.

Researches, plans, and implements projects that represent an important segment of Agency operating programs.

Initiates, applies, and plans developmental studies, providing recommendations for advancing programs and/or methods.

Verifies the accuracy and validity of the data and underlying assumptions.

Analyzes data collected to identify areas of comparable productivity and risk.

You must be a US Citizen or US National. Males born after 12/31/1959 must be Selective Service registered or exempt. Your transcripts must be in English or include an English translation. You may submit an unofficial copy of your transcript at the initial phase of the application process.
