Description

This position will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the law firm, including performing administrative services, supporting the legal team, and ensuring the firm remains in compliance with state legal regulations. The ideal candidate must have a strong work ethic, exceptional problem-solving skills, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic workplace.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Communicates with clients, counsel, and court representatives
  • Manage legal documentation and correspondence
  • Coordinate appointments
  • Manages all correspondence and recordkeeping
  • Complete administrative duties such as greeting clients, making copies, answering, and directing phone calls
  • Investigate case facts to ensure all relevant information
  • Identify appropriate materials, legal articles, judicial decisions, and laws for assigned case attorneys

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Organize, analyze, and compile information
  • Collect and record exhibits
  • Develop written statements
  • Work with attorneys to draft documents and letters
  • Prepare motions and pleas for filing in court
  • Track and organize files from beginning to end
  • Two-year degree or equivalent certification
  • Must know MS Office
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to take direction and work independently with little or no supervision
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Experience in consumer law and knowledge of commercial transactions preferred
  • 1-3 years of working experience as a legal assistant preferred
