Schedule: Minimum of 4 shifts per month; standard clinic hours are 8:00 AM–8:00 PM, seven days a week

Position Summary

We are seeking a Part-Time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team at our Stone Oak location in San Antonio, TX. Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages in an urgent care setting

• Manage acute illnesses, injuries, and occupational health visits

• Order and interpret diagnostic studies, including labs and imaging

• Perform urgent care procedures such as suturing, splinting, and wound management

• Clearly communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions

• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the EHR

• Code and bill services appropriately

• Maintain productivity consistent with urgent care benchmarks

• Practice in alignment with NextCare clinical standards and values

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Texas license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

• Board certification:

  • NP: ANCC or AANP certification; FNP required

  • PA: NCCPA certification

• Active DEA license or ability to obtain

• Ability to treat patients of all ages

• Active BLS certification

• EHR proficiency

• Availability for a minimum of 4 shifts per month

• Flexibility to work a combination of weekday and weekend shifts

• Willingness to work occasional holidays

• DOT certification required or willingness to obtain; applicable fees covered

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior urgent care, emergency medicine, or fast-track experience

• Strong procedural skills, including suturing, splinting, and wound care

• Experience with initial x-ray interpretation prior to radiology over-read

• Comfort practicing independently in a fast-paced clinical setting
