Job Description

As a Armed Security Officer - House of Worship Full Time in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a cultural institution, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for visitors and staff. This armed role requires an Armed Guard Card/License, Concealed Carry Weapons Permit, and Law Enforcement Officer License. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, members, staff, and guests while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a cultural institution.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior spaces, exterior grounds, entry points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as applicable, and report suspicious activity, policy violations, and maintenance concerns through established channels.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and applicable laws.
• Maintain required firearms qualifications and equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, client requirements, and applicable regulations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid concealed carry weapons permit.
• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Possess a valid law enforcement officer license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
