About the Position: Located at Ireland Army Health Clinic, Fort Knox, KY. This position serves as a Medical Technician (Certified Medical Assistant) responsible for clinical and administrative tasks to support doctors, nurses, and patients assisting with direct patient care and administrative tasks associated with patient needs. Core hours: M-F 0730-1600 (excluding Federal Holidays) in a clinical setting. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

Complete screening of patients for providers to include recording chief complaint, blood pressure, pulse, respirations, temperature, height, weight, electrocardiograms (EKGs), and other moderately complex tests.

Administer immunizations as ordered and screened by providers.

Instruct patients and families on various subjects, such as the proper procedure or following receipt of immunization in accordance with established protocols.

Assist providers with in-clinic procedures, prepares and positions patient, prepares instruments and supplies, hands supplies to provider and cleans instruments according to instructions for use.

Receive telephone calls, patients, and visitors to the medical facility to determine the nature of the call or visit. Schedule appointments with the appropriate clinic and health care provider.

Responds and actions patient messages within EMR.

Perform general maintenance duties including cleaning and arranging supply carts, sorting supplies, instruments and equipment; handling linen according to infection control policies; and cleaning patient units and exam areas as needed.
