About the Position: This is a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist (Mammography) position located at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego, California. Recruitment or relocation incentives may be authorized for highly qualified candidates. Advanced Leave Accrual or Advanced In-Hire may be authorized for highly qualified candidates. Salary Negotiation may be authorized for highly qualified candidates new to federal service. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

Independently perform a complex and diverse array of screening and diagnostic mammography examinations.

Assist the Radiologist(s) and other Health Care Providers needle localizations, breast ultrasound studies and other related breast health examinations.

Provide expert advice in mammographic imaging to enhance patient evaluation and care.

Operate stereotactic or upright mammography unit during stereotactic or tomosynthesis guided biopsy.

Collect and maintain documentation related to the performance of mammograms and resulting studies.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
