About the role

Primary Purpose
Leads small to mid-size civil work packages with minimal guidance. Delivers code-compliant designs for site development, foundations, and drainage while improving constructability and safety.

Duties and Responsibilities

Reviews vendor and subcontractor information to integrate into comprehensive design solutions.
Interprets and verifies industry codes, standards, and guidelines to ensure compliance in project deliverables.
Supports the development and application of structural integrity assessments and engineering critical evaluations.
Evaluates facility operations to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost savings.
Performs engineering reviews of new equipment designs for reliability, maintainability, and parts availability.
Prepares design documents for building automation upgrades, including detailed drawings and specifications.
Conducts site and facility inspections to verify design implementation and ensure operational standards are upheld.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

Required: Requires a 4 year degree in a relevant engineering field.

Experience

Required: Typically requires 5 years of related experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Required: Ability to independently analyze non-routine design or construction problems.
Required: Ability to integrate constructability and lifecycle considerations into designs.
Required: Ability to lead discrete design tasks or project elements with minimal oversight.
Required: In-depth knowledge of civil engineering principles applied to real-world infrastructure.
Required: Knowledge of applicable industry codes, standards, and local regulations.
Required: Skill in evaluating data, assumptions, and constraints to develop sound solutions.
Required: Skill in explaining complex engineering concepts to non-engineers.

Licenses and Certifications

Required: Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification is required.
