Pharmacist (Clinical)

About the Position: This position is located at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth in Portsmouth, Virginia. 2 positions are for a Hematology/Oncology Pharmacist and 1 position for an Emergency Department Pharmacist. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

Evaluate patient health history.

Order, perform, and interpret laboratory tests to guide medication therapy.

Exercise prescriptive authority to initiate, modify, or discontinue medications.

Serve as a consultant to physicians and other providers on complex pharmacotherapeutic cases.

Participate in daily rounds or clinic huddles to review and optimize patient drug therapy.
