About the role

About the company

Our client is a fast-growing technology company.

The role

Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Lead the full process of finding, vetting, onboarding and supporting a pool of contract specialists. You will refine current processes, convert pain points into requirements for the engineering side and help the pool grow substantially. The role is hands-on and in the office, and combines staffing operations, product thinking and relationship management.

What you'll do

- Own the contributor lifecycle from first application through screening, onboarding (background and identity checks, contracts), assignment to projects and training.

- Strengthen the current platform and prepare it for a far larger pool of contributors, including trialing automated interviewing tools.

- Translate operational friction into clear product requirements and partner with engineers and AI coding assistants to deliver improvements.

- Coordinate with a recruiting colleague to forecast staffing needs for upcoming projects and confirm contributors have the right assessment materials.

- Act as the main point of contact for the program, shaping a positive contributor experience while maintaining high standards of work quality.

Requirements

What we're looking for

- 4+ years in operations, data operations, systems or solutions architecture, marketplace supply or community and talent platforms.

- Direct staffing experience building and running large pools of contractors or specialists, from recruitment through onboarding and training; broad generalist consulting backgrounds are not a match.

- A record of growing a talent pool or contributor network rapidly, ideally by ten times or more.

- Ownership of an end-to-end contributor journey, from applications and interviews to placement and training.

- A track record of making operational processes better on a contributor-facing or data platform, supported by sound product judgment.

- Fluency with AI tools and the self-reliance to move forward when engineering bandwidth is scarce.

- Warmth and presence as a program ambassador, including hosting events and making experienced professionals feel appreciated.

- Bachelor's degree.

- Ability to work on-site five days a week in San Francisco, or to relocate.

Bonus points

- Experience collaborating with engineers and AI coding assistants to frame problems as product requirements.

- Experience at an early-stage startup establishing a staffing function from the ground up.
