Supervisory Quality Assurance Specialist

Provides leadership to subordinates and technical guidance to executive/management level representatives from the Military Services, DCMA, and other Government Agencies.

Directs a team of quality assurance professionals, overseeing daily activities, managing workloads, and fostering a collaborative team environment.

Evaluates contractor manufacturing systems and compliance with complex technical requirements and industry standards, such as ISO 9000 or AS 9100.

Implements continuous process improvement techniques to enhance surveillance over defense contractors and ensure full contract compliance.

Authorizes final product acceptance on behalf of the government for major defense programs and critical supply procurements.

Presents technical briefings to senior leaders and stakeholders to secure approvals and resolve highly complex manufacturing or quality issues.

Authors and reviews critical management reports, contractual documents, and policy inputs to solve problems across multiple disciplines.

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
