Provides electrical engineering, technical, and process engineering support for facility and melting operations.
Responsibilities
- Reviews engineering logs, production performance, and data to troubleshoot operational questions and problems.
- Provides electrical and automation repairs and improvements.
- Design level understanding of Low, Medium, and High Voltage control and distribution.
- Responsible for documentation such as print updates, procedures, maintenance reports, etc.
- Makes improvements by modifying automation, electrical and mechanical systems as well as recommending changes to the process.
- Provides engineering design, changes, implementation, and capital projects.
- Act as a technical resource for operators regarding operation and functionality of equipment.
- Plan and execute maintenance down periods.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
- Strong project management skills
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products
- Good understanding of closed loop control systems
- Maintenance experience preferred · Proficient in automation, AC drives, process controls, Siemens PLCs and software is a plus.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects to ensure timeliness.
