About the role

Position Purpose:

Assist the welding department to meet production goals along with gain welding experience.

Essential Functions:

  • Perform MIG, hand and robotic welding operations to produce product at the required production and quality level as instructed.
  • Perform inspection on product utilizing total quality concepts.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on equipment as needed.
  • Accurately report daily activities on work orders and Kan Ban cards and other media as required.
  • Conduct required quality checks using basic measurement equipment.
  • Keep work areas clean and free of safety hazards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor/Area Leader.

Education and Training:

  • Actively enrolled in a High School Diploma and accredited career tech welding program, required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must pass drug and alcohol screen and remain drug free throughout the term of employment
  • Must follow all safety practices and policies.
  • Must be able to use PC to check email and complete online tasks, as necessary
  • Ability to pass 2G MIG welding certification test, preferred.

 Physical Demands:

  • Constant standing, walking, reaching, balancing, cervical spine motion, lower extremities, and simple grasp
  • Frequent forward bending, squatting, kneeling, and climbing
  • Lifting and carrying up to 40lbs
