Engineering Technician (Civil)

About the Position: This is an Engineering Technician (Civil) GS-0802-7/8/9 position for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Southwestern Division, Tulsa District, Okay, Oklahoma. Position may be filled at any grade level.

Responsible for planning detailed phases of maintenance through construction or service contracts, hired labor, or in combination of both, and assigned contract administration and surveillance duties.

Performs maintenance and construction work of a technical nature required at an operational Corps of Engineers operational lake facility including planning, coordinating, inspecting, and supervising work of contractors.

Selectee collects data and prepares sketches or other design criteria to define work function for engineering personnel who are developing required plans and specifications.

Utilizes computer software to develop and administer critical path management of maintenance and construction program for project office and maintain detailed equipment maintenance and utilization records.

Performs routine inspection on structures to insure maintenance integrity and readiness for operation.
