Job Summary: 

The Distribution Center Warehouse Lead is responsible for overseeing the daily operations within a specific area of the distribution center, ensuring efficient workflows and adherence to company policies and procedures. This role involves leading a team of warehouse associates, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring a safe and productive work environment. The Distribution Center Warehouse Lead will support the Distribution Center Warehouse Supervisor in achieving operational goals and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This position is eligible for a performance based quarterly bonus.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Oversee daily distribution center operations, ensuring efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods to meet KPI's and follow company policies.
  • Lead, train, and motivate warehouse associates while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Handle day-to-day team performance issues and escalate larger concerns to management.
  • Monitor stock levels and ensure accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and required annual physical inventories.
  • Promptly address inventory discrepancies and implement best practices for inventory control.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections, eliminate hazards, and ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment and enforce PPE compliance across the team.
  • Safely operate material handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, in accordance with training and company policies.
  • Maintain high customer service standards by ensuring accurate and timely order fulfillment.
  • Professionally resolve customer inquiries and coordinate with other departments to maintain seamless service.

Qualifications and Requirements: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in warehouse or distribution center operations.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other relevant software.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Current Forklift certification

Requirements: 

  • Forklift certification required.  
  • High School diploma or equivalent. 
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in warehouse or distribution center operations, preferably in the HVAC industry.
