Optometrist (Clinical)

About the Position:This position is located at William Beaumont Army Medical Center, El Paso Texas. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation.

Diagnose and treat any visual anomaly and specified pathologic conditions of the ocular adnexa and the eye.

Provide eye and vision consultative services to the medical staff and others as needed.

Independently manage and treat conditions and diseases that are within the optometric scope of practice.

Treat minor pathology of the eye and adnexa using therapeutic drugs.

Monitor the maintenance of ophthalmic equipment and instruments.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
