Pay range: Starting at $26.00 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule/Shift: Full-time, San Diego, CA
Responsibilities:
- Manages all collections activity for assigned payors.
- Works closely with Mission Healthcare staff in all departments to identify and correct problem areas negatively affecting reimbursement.
- Stays abreast to industry standard changes and regulations relevant to reimbursement for the assigned payor mix.
- Maintains frequent communication with Reimbursement Manager.
- Address and resolve patient questions and concerns.
- Provide respectful and considerate customer service to internal and external customers.
- Meet defined department goals and activity metrics.
Qualifications:
- Industry standard knowledge of private insurance reimbursement standards in the Healthcare sector is necessary.
- Experience collecting for Home Health, Hospice or Home Care agencies is heavily preferred.
- Experience using EMR/EHR and practice management software. Experience with Home Care Home Base highly desired!
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team.
