Facilities Technician

Summary/Objective:

The Facility Technician’s primary function is the inspection of the facility and grounds for maintenance, safety, standards compliance and regulatory compliance.

Essential Functions:

• Daily task working with the VOC data collection, requiring weighing and tracking inks and chemicals and recording the data.
• Daily tasks which involve recycling and environmental protection efforts. Acquires and maintains a full complement of personal tools as necessary to perform general repair and service work.
• Will generate report documents and correct deficiencies.
• Will interact daily with all levels of managers/supervisors, co-workers and third parties.
• Maintenance and cleaning of floors, walls and equipment both inside and outside of the building.
• Maintain a clean and orderly building.
• Perform heavy cleaning schedule which includes, but not limited to, cleaning and shampooing floors, washing walls and glass, working with electrical light fixtures and removing rubbish and scrap.
• Will perform routine maintenance and notify management of any needed repairs.
• Will be responsible in the destruction of manufacturing waste and cleaning snow or debris from sidewalk.
• Will perform minor repairs to building and grounds.
• Responsible for inventory on cleaning supplies and inventory.
• Must comply with all departmental SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures), company GMP's (Good Manufacturing Practices), Employee Handbook policies, including attendance and all safety rules and standards.
• Other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by Supervisor.

Required Education/Experience:

Prior experience with hand and power tools required.

Must be mechanically inclined.
