Supervisory Nurse (Program Manager)

The incumbent will be responsible and accountable for all elements of the nursing process when providing and/or supervising direct patient care. Assumes responsibility for the coordination of care within the program focused on patient education, self-management, and customer satisfaction throughout the continuum of care. Follows procedures per established policies and guidelines. Influences care outcomes by collaborating with members of the interdisciplinary team.
Major duties, include but are not limited to: The Mental Health Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Program (MHRRTP) Program Manager is responsible for the overall leadership of the Program and ensure the quality of medical and mental health services provided, the education and training of professional staff, and the safety and ethical conduct of subordinate staff. Follows procedures per established policies and guidelines. Influences care outcomes by collaborating with members of the interdisciplinary team. Assumes the responsibility for the coordination of care within the program focused on patient education, self-management, and customer satisfaction throughout the continuum of care. The incumbent is responsible to the assigned rating and approving supervisors and is accountable to the Associate Director of Patient Care (ADPCS). Participates in activities and strategies to sustain evidence-based-practice. Accountable for planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating the program and the staff who support it. Demonstrates creative approaches to the management of program aspects of complex patient care. Contributes professional nursing perspective in discussions with the interdisciplinary team. Evaluates practice in an ongoing process, based on best evidence. Shares findings, experiences, and ideas with peers. Questions clinical practices for the purpose of providing evidence-based care. Demonstrates proficiency in leadership based on sound judgement, critical thinking, and deliberate planning.
