About the role

The Cross-Functional Coordinator serves as a strategic advisor and operational leader supporting the Vice President of Aftermarket Purchasing. Combining elements of a Chief of Staff, Global Business Planner, and Program Manager, this highly visible role is responsible for driving execution of strategic initiatives, aligning global stakeholders, and improving organizational effectiveness across the aftermarket purchasing organization.

Operating within a highly matrixed environment, the role acts as a trusted integrator across Purchasing, Supply Chain, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Finance, HR, Commercial, and Technology teams. The position is responsible for coordinating executive priorities, leading cross-functional programs, driving business planning activities, managing governance forums, and facilitating decision-making through data-driven insights and executive communications.

The ideal candidate will possess strong business acumen, executive presence, and the ability to influence without authority while supporting a global organization of managers, buyers, and functional leaders. This position also plays a key role in supporting organizational transformation, process standardization, technology adoption, and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, visibility, and business performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning & Executive Support

  • Partner with the Vice President of Aftermarket Purchasing to prioritize, track, and execute strategic initiatives
  • Develop executive presentations, leadership communications, business reviews, and decision-support materials
  • Coordinate Leadership Team Meetings (LTM), governance forums, and executive action plans
  • Support organizational strategy, long-range planning, and special executive projects
  • Represent leadership priorities across the organization and ensure timely execution of commitments

Business Planning & Performance Management

  • Develop and maintain KPI dashboards, scorecards, and business performance reporting
  • Monitor organizational objectives, risks, opportunities, and operational performance metrics
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, headcount planning, and financial reviews
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to improve decision-making and organizational visibility

Cross-Functional Program Leadership

  • Lead and coordinate strategic initiatives spanning multiple functions, regions, and business organizations
  • Establish integrated project plans, milestones, dependencies, and governance processes
  • Track progress, resolve roadblocks, and drive accountability across stakeholders
  • Facilitate collaboration between Purchasing, Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, Finance, and HR teams
  • Support enterprise-wide transformation and continuous improvement initiatives

Stakeholder Management & Organizational Effectiveness

  • Build trusted relationships with leaders across the organization
  • Act as a primary liaison between executive leadership and cross-functional teams
  • Facilitate alignment, communication, and decision-making among stakeholders with competing priorities
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve governance, and enhance organizational effectiveness
  • Support change management, technology adoption, and process standardization efforts

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

  • Promote digital transformation, automation, reporting enhancements, and AI-enabled business solutions
  • Identify opportunities to increase efficiency, visibility, and operational performance
  • Support implementation of new tools, systems, and business processes across the organization

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Finance, Operations, or a related field
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in business planning, program management, purchasing, operations, consulting, strategy, or related leadership roles
  • Experience leading large-scale, cross-functional initiatives across multiple functions and global organizations
  • Strong project management, organizational, and execution skills
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management capabilities
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in highly matrixed organizations
  • Experience developing executive dashboards, reports, and presentation materials
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and data visualization tools

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or Master's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, or related field
  • Experience supporting executive leadership, Chief of Staff functions, or strategic planning organizations
  • Automotive, manufacturing, procurement, or supply chain experience
  • Experience leading organizational transformation and change management initiatives
  • Knowledge of AI, automation, digital transformation, and business process improvement methodologies
  • PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or related professional certification preferred
