Your Job:

The Team Lead Service Technician – Field will provide technical support at the field level. They will correspond with company resources to resolve technical and troubleshooting issues that arise, handle customer related issues in the assigned territory, coordinate all operational activities with specific functions, and assist the Director of Service in achieving Service Department KPI’s. 

Your Responsibilities:

Job requirements may include the following where applicable:

  • Assign, supervise, and instruct operational activities to staff within Service Dept
  • Determine work procedures and expedite workflow
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems including working closely with technicians who are having difficulties
  • Arrange schedules and set priorities for staff
  • Communicate processes and procedures to internal and external constituents
  • Train and coach staff on processes and procedures
  • Assist in the overall direction of the department; may serve as member of various committees.
  • Conduct performance evaluations for direct reports
  • Manage employee’s timecard utilizing the company’s Time and Attendance system
  • Assists direct reports to help achieve Service Department goals
  • Direct and prepare reports for Service Department Senior leadership
  • Participate in Company or Department projects
  • Ensure employees and team are following all Company Policies
  • Resolve customer/technician related problems in conjunction with the Director of Service and the sales team.
  • Correspond with the Director of Service, factory and Technical Training on technical problems concerning equipment that the company sells and services.
  • Maintain at least an 80% productivity level.
  • Assist Director of Service and dispatch team in achieving team SM completion goals.
  • Assist Director of Service in maintaining Full Maintenance controls and cost reduction at assigned accounts
  • Perform 90-day inspections that are not under contract and are not assigned to a CSSR as directed by the Director of Service
  • Assist dispatch with tech assignments as needed
  • Work with dispatchers to achieve 1st call completion and response time goals
  • Assure that all team members adhere to all safety requirements and actively work to reduce work related accidents.
  • Assist Director of Service in establishing team goals. Review results monthly with Director of Service every quarter with the Director of Service Operations.
  • Assist Director of Service in maintaining team standards for WIP, timecards, and GPS
  • Work in conjunction with Director of Service, trainers, and Technical Trainer to assess tech skills and obtain necessary training
  • Work with Director of Service to assess workload distribution and addition of technicians
  • Oversee TLNW projects within guidelines provided by TLNW and Director of Service
  • Fill in for Director of Service as assigned
  • Perform other duties as requested

Required Skills /Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Possess a minimum of 5 years’ field breakdown experience or comparable service experience or equivalent combination of education and experience (required)
  • Bronze certification (required)
  • Self-motivated, detail oriented and organized with ability to shift priorities in a changing environment. (required)
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing with employees, vendors and customers. (required)
  • Able to handle stressful situations with maturity and tact (required)
  • Prior experience in customer service, material handling/industrial equipment environment, and shipping/receiving experience (preferred)
  • Ability to operate manual pallet jack and forklift
  • Ability to interact effectively with others; be a team player
  • Manage time efficiently
  • Demonstrates drive and initiative
  • Maintain a good attendance record

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. May require sitting or standing for long periods of time, working in front of the computer, walk on concrete floors with the ability to use full range body motion for climbing, pushing, lifting (up to 50lbs), and reaching.  Be aware of surroundings if in a construction area.

Pay Range: The hourly range for this position is $30.00 - $50.00. The specific pay offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, education, and work location.
