About the Position: This position is located within Naval Medical Center San Diego, CA; located at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, Branch Medical Clinic. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

Performs medical screening examinations in an inpatient or outpatient setting for patients of all ages.

Examines patients and performs initial patient work-up and assessment of patients' care and treatment.

Determines the need for and orders laboratory tests, X-rays and other procedures necessary to complete assessment of the patient.

Diagnoses disease, illness disorder or injury.

Prescribes for and treats a variety of diseases, disorders and injuries.

Position may require incumbent to provide preoperative and postoperative care, and may work as first or second assistants during major surgery.
