Nurse (Clinical/Community-Occupational Health)

About the Position : This position is located at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland at Edgewood Occupational Health Clinic. Hours : Monday- Friday 0730-1630. Alternative work schedule available. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

Perform nursing assessment, diagnosis, and implementation of treatment plan.

Assess and treat occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.

Initiate treatment for potential health hazards compassing a broad spectrum including chemical (industrial), chemical toxic agents (Surety/military) agents.

Conduct screening tests such as vision tests, audiometry and spirometry.

Educate employees on occupational health topics.

Document clinical encounters and maintain accurate medical records.

Provide acute trauma care and manage hazardous exposure cases.
