About the role

Position Summary: 

The Admissions Coordinator is responsible for supporting the day-to-day admissions process to ensure timely, accurate, and welcoming transitions for new residents. This role serves as a primary point of contact for prospective residents and families, assists with scheduling and documentation, and helps maintain facility census goals through strong customer service and organizational support. The Admissions Coordinator plays a key role in creating a positive first impression of the facility. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Coordinate and process new admissions and re-admissions in collaboration with the Admissions team.
    • Serve as a primary contact for inquiries from hospitals, families, and referral sources.
    • Answer phones promptly and respond to admission inquiries professionally. 
    • Schedule admissions and notify interdisciplinary team members of expected arrivals. 
    • Prepare and organize admission paperwork and required documentation. 
    • Welcome new residents and families upon arrival and assist with the transition process. 
    • Conduct facility tours for prospective residents and families. 
    • Ensure admission packets are completed accurately and in a timely manner. 
    • Maintain accurate census and admission tracking records. 
    • Assist in maintaining room readiness and coordination of equipment for incoming residents. 
    • Support census-building initiatives and marketing efforts as assigned. 
    • Maintain confidentiality of resident and facility information. 
    • Provide general administrative support to the Admissions department.

Qualifications Required 

Education: 
• High School diploma or equivalent required. 

Experience: 
• One to two years of experience in healthcare, admissions, customer service, or administrative support preferred.
