Donation Processor & Cashier Support

JOB SUMMARY

The Donation Processor & Cashier Support plays a key operational role in supporting our non-profit partners. Your primary daily focus will be opening, scanning, and accurately processing high volumes of direct mail donations in a fast-paced production setting. In addition to core processing, you will serve as vital backup support to the cashiering department—assisting with cash verification, operating specialized cash machinery, maintaining deposit logs, and preparing secure client deposits.

Responsibilities and Activities

• Opens, sorts, and scans incoming direct mail and non-profit donations using automated mail-opening machinery.
• Tracks accurate daily piece counts and report metrics directly to the supervisor to meet high-quality client deadlines.
• Inspects work for quality control and report mail issues or equipment malfunctions promptly.

Backup Cashiering & Support:

• Assists the primary cashiering team by verifying cash amounts against RTL (Run-to-Location) totals and researching discrepancies.
• Pulls rejects from system reports, maintains cash logs, and archives/discards checks and source documents according to procedures.
• Operates cash machinery and assists in assembling coin/cash deposits in compliance with bank standards, SOC controls, and armored car (e.g., Loomis) pickup protocols.
• Helps maintain equipment functionality, places technician service calls when needed, and assists with shift handover communications.
• Assists in organizing deposit documents and updating training/procedure documentation as requested.
• Performs additional responsibilities as required to ensure the team's success.

QUALIFICATIONS

Work Experience

• No prior experience required; direct mail, payment processing, or banking/cash handling experience is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Fluent English speaking, reading, and writing skills.
• High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to stay focused under tight deadlines.
• Adapts easily between individual production work and collaborative team support; maintains a positive, inclusive attitude.
