Serves as a trusted advisor on strategic planning and corporate development initiatives. Shapes recommendations for major growth opportunities and ensures alignment with organizational priorities and financial objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Serves as a subject matter expert on strategic planning and corporate development methodologies.
- Leads evaluation of major growth opportunities, including mergers, acquisitions, and strategic alliances.
- Develops recommendations for long-term strategic direction based on market intelligence and financial analysis.
- Oversees preparation of negotiation materials and supports transaction structuring.
- Provides strategic counsel to senior leadership on competitive positioning and emerging trends.
- Synthesizes complex data into actionable insights for decision-making using advanced modeling techniques.
- Influences adoption of new planning methodologies and best practices across the function.
- Tracks and reports on outcomes of strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education
- Required: Typically requires a 4 year degree in a relevant field, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
- Required: Typically requires 10 years of related experience.
- Required: Ability to design original analytical approaches where precedent is limited.
- Required: Ability to operate autonomously as a subject-matter expert in strategy and corporate development.
- Required: Ability to solve novel strategic or development problems with broad organizational implications.
- Required: Expert knowledge of strategic analysis, valuation, and value-creation concepts.
- Required: Knowledge of enterprise portfolio management and long-range planning methodologies.
- Required: Skill in influencing senior stakeholders through structured strategic narratives.
- Required: Skill in integrating market intelligence, financial analysis, and operational insight into executive recommendations.
