About the role

About the Role:

AI is only as valuable as the organization's ability to actually use it. We're looking for a North America AI Academy Lead to build and run the regions AI enablement and training function — the curriculum, certification paths, and hands-on programs that build AI fluency and tool adoption across the North America organization, from frontline dealer-facing teams to senior leadership. This role works closely with the Global AI Academy team that leads the function worldwide, adapting global curriculum and standards for the North America market while feeding regional insights back to the global program.

What You'll Do:

  • Partner with the Global AI Academy team that leads the function worldwide to localize curriculum, certification standards, and rollout timing for the North America organization
  • Design and own the North America AI Academy curriculum — role-based learning paths spanning foundational AI literacy through advanced, tool-specific proficiency
  • Build and run training programs for Microsoft Copilot and Copilot Cowork adoption, tailored to different functions and skill levels across the organization
  • Develop certification tiers or badging that give employees and managers a clear, credible signal of AI proficiency
  • Partner with AI Product Owners to identify where low adoption is a training gap versus a product gap, and build enablement programs that close it
  • Create and maintain training content — live sessions, self-paced modules, documentation, office hours — in formats that fit a busy enterprise workforce
  • Run a change management program alongside major AI rollouts, ensuring end users are supported through the transition, not just notified of it
  • Identify and develop a network of AI champions or power users across business functions to extend the Academy's reach beyond direct training capacity
  • Measure and report on training reach, completion, and downstream adoption impact, partnering with the AI Governance & Performance Lead to align on measurement standards
  • Stay current on AI capability and prompting best practices, translating fast-moving change into digestible, accurate guidance for a non-technical audience
  • Represent the department in enterprise-wide learning and development planning, ensuring AI Academy content is integrated with broader corporate training infrastructure

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years in learning and development, training, enablement, or organizational change management, ideally with technology adoption programs
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • Experience designing curriculum or certification programs for a large, diverse workforce — not just writing a single deck once
  • Working fluency in AI/LLM tools (particularly Microsoft Copilot) sufficient to teach and troubleshoot with credibility, without needing to be a builder
  • Strong instructional design skills — you know how adults actually learn, and you design for retention and application, not just completion rates
  • Experience running change management alongside a technology rollout, including resistance and adoption challenges
  • Excellent facilitation and presentation skills across audiences ranging from frontline staff to senior executives
  • Data-driven approach to measuring training effectiveness and adoption, not just attendance
  • Comfortable operating in a large, matrixed enterprise, coordinating with HR/L&D, functional business leaders, and internal technical teams

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 7+ years in learning and development, training, enablement, or organizational change management, with a track record of technology adoption programs
  • Instructional design certification (e.g., ATD, CPTD) or formal L&D credentials, or an advanced degree in a relevant field
  • Prior automotive OEM experience, particularly enabling dealer network or field-facing teams
  • Experience building a training function from scratch rather than scaling an existing one
  • Familiarity with AI governance and responsible AI principles, to weave into training content appropriately
