Agile Technical Program Manager

About the Role
This position is part of the Software Program Strategy and Execution team. As an Agile Technical Program Manager, you will lead cross-functional technical programs, working closely with software development teams and coordinating efforts across multiple organizations, including CME, Quality, Product Management, Software Architecture, Safety, and Hardware Engineering. You will play a key role in driving the timely and high-quality delivery of complex, safety-critical software systems through effective Agile program execution. This includes facilitating PI Planning, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and other Agile ceremonies, while coordinating dependencies, managing risks and impediments, and ensuring alignment across multiple domain teams and stakeholders. You will also be responsible for enabling teams to measure performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and continuously improve execution efficiency. This includes supporting data management, analytics, and visualization initiatives, collaborating with teams to build and maintain dashboards, and managing data ingestion and transformation.

You will also help establish a data-driven culture by leveraging robust KPIs, analytics, and visualization tools to provide transparency into program health, identify trends and risks, and enable teams and leadership to make informed decisions. These positions required emphasizing PI Planning, Sprint execution, dependencies, risks and impediments, Agile ceremonies, continuous improvement, and delivery predictability.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Agile Technical Program Leadership — Lead complex, cross-functional software programs using Agile practices, ensuring teams are aligned on priorities, milestones, and delivery commitments.
- PI & Sprint Execution — Facilitate PI Planning, Sprint Planning, Reviews, and other Agile ceremonies across multiple software/domain teams, ensuring effective planning and predictable execution.
- Cross-Functional Coordination & Dependency Management — Coordinate across Software Engineering, Product Management, Quality, Safety, Architecture, Hardware, and other organizations while managing dependencies, risks, issues, and impediments.
- Software Delivery & Continuous Improvement — Drive timely, high-quality delivery of safety-critical embedded software while identifying process improvements and increasing development and execution efficiency.
- KPI, Data & Analytics Leadership — Develop and maintain software-development KPIs, dashboards, analytics, and data pipelines to provide program visibility, measure team performance, identify trends and risks, and support data-driven decision-making.
- Establishing a structured planning framework to align feature development and software delivery for a system/ECU program.
- Collaborating with vehicle program and engineering teams to synchronize development timelines and ensure cross-functional alignment.
- Risk, Issue & Escalation Management, Identify, track, and mitigate program risks while managing escalations to senior leadership, ensuring critical issues, dependencies, and decisions receive timely visibility and resolution.
- Continuous Improvement & Agile Maturity — Drive retrospectives, lessons learned, and process improvements to strengthen Agile maturity, planning accuracy, execution discipline, and delivery predictability.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, or related fields
- A minimum of 10 years of experience including:
- A minimum of 8 years working directly with engineering teams with good software development understanding.
- A minimum of 5 years of technical product or program management
- Proven experience in program or project management for complex software products, preferably in automotive or embedded systems.
- Strong understanding of safety-critical electronic control units (ECUs) and embedded software development.
- Clear understanding of Agile development practices and program management tools.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and cross-functional coordination skills.
- Interest in state-of-the-art automated driving compute platforms and emerging computational technologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in computer engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, or related fields
- A minimum of 3 years of software development experience
- A minimum of 5 years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams
- Hands-on experience of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery pipelines
- Knowledge of modern software architecture, cloud integration, and real-time systems.
