Dentist (Comprehensive Dentistry)

About the Position: This position is located at Naval Base Health Clinic Mayport. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. Incentives may be available for highly qualified applicants.

Provides the full scope of comprehensive dentistry by integrating restorative dentistry, prosthodontics, periodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, preventive dentistry, and other specialty services.

Provides the full scope of comprehensive dentistry to achieve treatment goals related to aesthetics, function, structural integrity, and the biological needs of the patient.

Coordinates multidisciplinary care with dental and medical specialists, modifies conventional treatment approaches for medically compromised patients, and provides comprehensive patient-centered care throughout the patient's treatment journey.

Documenting care in approved electronic health record systems.

Serves as the primary clinical consultant by collaborating with dentists, specialists, physicians, hygienists, residents, and allied health professionals to develop integrated treatment strategies.

Leads or participates in peer review, patient safety, infection prevention, quality assurance, credentialing, and performance improvement initiatives.

Mentors dentists, residents, hygienists, and dental assistants in comprehensive dentistry, multidisciplinary treatment planning, and evidence-based practice.
