Medical Support Assistant (Office Automation)

About the Position: This postion is with the Defense Health Agency; Defense Health Network East. Located at Martin Army Community Hospital within the Dental Health Activity (DENTAC) directorate on Fort Benning, GA. Office hours are M-F 0730-1630. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

Serves as the initial point of contact to greet and receive patients.

Performs clerical duties such as typing routine correspondence, medical statements, memorandums, and reconciling end-of-shift/end-of-day reports.

Maintains all patients’ records, both electronic and paper, according to regulation.

Schedules appropriate patient appointments to include coordinating or scheduling appointments with other clinics or specialties.

Provides information about the clinic and/or hospital policies, procedures, and locations to patients, family members, or other medical treatment facility staff.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
