  • Elevate the Resident Experience: Respond to resident inquiries, resolve concerns, coordinate communications, and foster positive relationships with residents, ownership, and building staff.
  • Drive Daily Operations: Assist with property inspections, move-ins and move-outs, lease administration, work orders, office management, and accurate recordkeeping.
  • Support Financial Performance: Assist with budget forecasting, income and expense analysis, accounts payable and receivable, monthly reporting, and rent collection monitoring.
  • Coordinate Maintenance & Improvements: Partner with property management and maintenance teams, coordinate vendors, review estimates and contracts, and support repairs, renovations, and capital improvement projects.
  • Strengthen Leasing & Retention: Conduct leasing tours, process new and renewal leases, monitor market activity, and support occupancy and resident retention goals.
  • Maintain Compliance & Safety: Assist with lease enforcement, application reviews, inspections, insurance documentation, incident reporting, and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Adapt & Collaborate: Build relationships with property teams, step in where additional support is needed, and help ensure smooth operations across the portfolio.
  • Support Emergency Response: Assist with after-hours emergencies as required, promptly escalate incidents, and complete appropriate documentation.
What You Bring
  • At least 3 years of multifamily leasing and/or assistant property management experience.
  • The flexibility to work across multiple properties and adapt to changing operational priorities.
  • Strong organizational, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of building operations, maintenance coordination, lease administration, budgeting, and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and property management platforms such as Yardi, RentCafe, On-Site, iLuvLeasing, or Elise AI.
  • A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, real estate, or finance is preferred.
  • A valid real estate license, or the ability to obtain the required license within the specified timeframe, as confirmed for the position.
  • Availability to travel between assigned New Jersey properties, work on-site, and work weekends, including Saturdays and Sundays.
  • The ability to respond to after-hours emergencies as required.
