TRUMPF is seeking candidates for an onsite internship in the Large Part Machining Department at our Farmington, CT location. Large parts machining supplies the customer with the highest quality parts on time while achieving expected productivity standards.

Internship Duration: Onsite in Farmington, CT from January 2027 - August 2027 At least 32 hours weekly

Duties & Responsibilities

• Detailed process analytics
• Fixture design
• Process documentation
• Leading continues improvement workshops
• Working with other employees to improve current work practices

Experience & Education:

• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes such as CNC machining and ideally sheet metal manufacturing
• CAD design experience SolidWorks is ideal but not required
• Understanding which materials to use for different applications
• Being able to read and understand advanced blueprints and drawings
• Having great attention to quality
• Must be a student currently enrolled in an accredited university or institution pursuing an undergraduate’s degree in a related field

Pay & Benefits: 

Holiday Pay: 11 paid company holidays based on how the holidays fall during your internship duration.
