POSITION SUMMARY:

The Visual Merchandise Specialist supports in-store apparel presentation through store displays, planograms, signage, and brand launches. The role combines creative execution, project coordination, and field merchandising. This includes, but is not limited to, visual merchandising directives, planograms, in-store signage management, new brand launches, fixture design and placement, and other special projects. This position will work closely with the Merchant, Creative, and Store Teams for planning, launching, and project follow-ups.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Design and implement visually compelling in-store displays that align with brand standards and seasonal themes

Creates planograms and visual directives to ensure consistent product presentation across locations

Communicates brand and style guidelines for mannequins and displays.

Partners with Merchant & Creative teams to ensure all in-store directives and promotions are supported with compelling product signage.

Will manage multiple projects at once and communicate timelines and needs to various project partners.

Maintain visual displays, signage, and fixtures to ensure cleanliness, organization, and brand consistency

Analyzes seasonal assortment plans to ensure all elements of the in-store presentation is communicated in seasonal directives.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

2-4 years of experience in visual merchandising, retail merchandising, or a related field

Experience interpreting and executing planograms and visual directives

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced retail environment

Proficient with a computer for both data analysis and directive building, and daily project management tracking.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY:

Must possess visual merchandising skills to maximize sales potential and have the ability to present product in a way that is up to Bass Pro Shops standards.

Strong planning and analytical skills, as well as, knowledge of basic design principles.

Must have strong communication skills, both verbally & written.

To fulfill the needs of this position general computer skills are necessary, in addition to, knowledge of the following programs: AutoCAD, PowerPoint, Excel & Adobe Photoshop, or InDesign

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

Travels as needed for new store opening set-ups and in the field merchandising installations. Travel approximately 20-30% a year.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Regular computer work, and sitting

Occasional walking, standing, and lifting up to 50lbs

INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:

Performs duties within scope of general company policies, procedures, and objectives. Analyzes problems and performs needs assessments. Uses judgment in adapting broad guidelines to achieve desired result. Regular exercise of independent judgment within accepted practices. Makes recommendations that affect policies, procedures, and practices.
