Shipping Material Handler

Job Summary:

Shipping is responsible for ensuring that finished products are securely packaged, labeled, and shipped according to delivery schedules, coordinating with logistics to ensure smooth delivery to our assembly plants. Shipping is also responsible for supporting warranty claims through installing hardware on finished doors and drawers, and shipping them directly to customers’ homes, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of warranty claims.

The Material Handler accurately assembles, secures, and labels pallets of finished doors and drawer fronts in preparation for shipment to assembly plants.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Stack, felt, and secure finished doors and drawer fronts on pallets for safe transport.
• Label pallets accurately to ensure shipments reach the correct locations.
• Inspect materials for quality and accuracy prior to packaging.
• Use tools and equipment to assemble pallets according to shipping standards.
• Maintain accurate records of assembled and shipped pallets.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of materials to minimize damage.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to support smooth production flow.
• Support company values and continuous improvement efforts by performing additional tasks as assigned by management.
