Duties and Responsibilities
- Applies established energy management procedures to support routine engineering tasks.
- Collects and organizes energy consumption data for analysis and reporting.
- Assists in preparing basic energy efficiency calculations and documentation.
- Supports energy audits under close supervision.
- Reviews standard operating procedures to ensure compliance with energy guidelines.
- Utilizes engineering software tools for simple modeling and data entry.
- Communicates findings and clarifies technical information with team members.
- Participates in training to develop foundational knowledge of energy systems.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education
- Required: Requires a 4 year degree in a relevant engineering field.
- Required: Typically requires 0 years of related experience.
- Required: Energy Efficiency Management - The process of tracking and optimizing energy consumption to conserve usage.
- Required: Energy Management Systems (EMS) - The automation systems that collect energy measurement data from the field and making it available to users through graphics, online monitoring tools, and energy quality analyzers, thus enabling the management of energy resources.
- Required: Energy Auditing - The process of inspection or survey analysis of energy flows in a structure, in a process or in a system, intended to reduce the amount of energy input without negatively affecting the outputs.
- Required: Energy Cost Management - Optimizing energy consumption, costs, and efficiency through monitoring, analysis, and implementation of strategies, such as demand response, energy conservation, and renewable energy integration.
- Required: Energy Strategy - The approach taken to plan the supply, procurement, cost and efficiency of energy across all areas of a business.
- Required: Energy Monitoring & Control - Using analysis of energy information as a basis to eliminate waste, reduce and control current level of energy use and improve the existing operating procedures.
- Required: Load Forecasting - Planning and predicting the supply of energy needed in order to meet future demand.
- Required: Demand Management - Demand management is a planning methodology. Companies use it to forecast and plan how to meet demand for services and products.
- Required: Power System Analysis - Performing calculations and simulations to verify that power systems, including the system components, are correctly specified to perform as intended, withstand expected stress and are protected against failures.
- Required: Data Analysis - Measuring and managing organization data, identifying methodological best practices and conducting statistical analyses.
