IMG Specialist / Supervisor

JOB SUMMARY

The IMG Specialist / Supervisor / Asst. Manager is responsible for operating forming press equipment and executing in-mold graining, bonding, and wrapping processes to produce high-quality automotive interior components.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Operate forming press machinery to execute in-mold graining processes, ensuring proper heating, pressure, and cycle times for TPO/film materials.

- Perform manual and automated bonding and wrapping operations, ensuring proper alignment, tension, and adhesion of materials to substrates.

- Inspect finished products for surface appearance, grain quality, wrinkles, bubbles, and proper material placement to meet strict customer specifications.

- Monitor process parameters and make minor adjustments to forming press equipment to prevent recurring defects (e.g., poor adhesion, material damage).

- Maintain a clean and safe workspace (5S) and strictly adhere to machine safety and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.

Requirements

SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS

- Required: Hands-on experience operating forming presses (e.g., compression molding, vacuum forming, or thermal forming). *Note: Metal stamping press experience is not applicable.*

- Strong understanding of material handling, specifically applying films, TPO, or fabrics in wrapping and bonding applications.

- High attention to detail regarding visual inspection, surface finish, and craftsmanship (appearance, fit, and finish).

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

- High school diploma or equivalent.

- 1 to 3+ years of experience in automotive interior manufacturing, injection molding, lamination, or forming press operations.
