About the role

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This position is within the Directorate of Public Works at Fort Gordon, GA.

Serve as a Real Property Community Planner for the Directorate of Public Works.

Independently plan multi-phase projects for Fort Gordon’s Real Property Master Plan.

Review productivity from external firms for technical adequacy.

Develop innovative approaches to solve complex planning challenges.

Meet with tenant organizations on the installation to determine their real property related requirements.

Manage the Real Property Planning Board (RPPB) program to ensure all facility/infrastructure requirements are being met.

Participate in planning conferences as the Directorate of Public Works representative.

Direct the Project Planning and Design Charrettes to develop facility/infrastructure solutions.

****In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: Specialized Experience: One-year specialized experience which includes 1) Developing customer-focused short- and long-range construction and/or design plans. 2) Reviewing contract requirement for construction and/or design projects. 3) Managing major construction projects from inception through programming and design. 4) Formulating cost estimates for large scale projects such as commercial and/or environmental construction. 5) Preparing technical reports, estimates, budgets, and schedules for construction projects. FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
