Medical Technician

About the Position: This position is located at 78th Medical Group at Robins Air Force Base, Houston County, Georgia. It is located near the city of Warner Robins, Georgia. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. Incentives MAY be authorized.

Perform complex laboratory tests and examinations in the chemistry, serology, hematology, urinalysis, immunohematology, and microbiology sections of the laboratory.

Select appropriate test methodology to use and recognize when test values are positive or exceed a defined decision limit.

Evaluate validity of data in relation to the test system and assay procedures.

Conduct diagnostic tests on species of bacteria for positive identification.

Calibrate analyzers and other equipment and run quality control samples to ensure validity of tests.

Advise doctors and clinic personnel on specimen collection and submission.

Draw blood by venipuncture and take capillary blood samples for test procedures.
