About the role

About the Position: This position is located within the Directorate Branch Clinics (DBC) of Naval Health Clinic Annapolis with the site of work Branch Health Clinic Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

Provides a full range of emergency services or crises interventions, including life-saving emergency procedures to stabilize a patient/worker within the scope of practice and approved protocols.

Performs emergency care where a patient/worker is given the attention requited to prevent loss of life or limb-or to relieve suffering until they can be transferred to a hospital for injuries, first aid or palliative treatment is given.

Occupational injuries are treated and followed up, or referred in accordance with nurse practitioner protocols.

Performs medical assessment and diagnosis; implements treatment plans based on complete medical and occupational history plus physical and psychosocial assessments.

Performs medical surveillance physical examination for personnel exposed to hazardous agents including dusts, fumes; vapors; chemicals and physical agents.

Types of injuries include but not limited to lacerations, contusions, fractures, burns, sprains, back injuries, and tenosynovitis as a result of repetitive motion.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
