About the role
The Security Manager is responsible for overseeing the security operations of The London NYC to ensure the safety and security of guests, Team Members, and property. This role requires a strong understanding of security protocols, emergency procedures, and risk management. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Responsibilities
- Security Operations:
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive security policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities.
- Oversee the implementation of security systems, including CCTV, access control, and alarm systems.
- Monitor security personnel and ensure adherence to established protocols.
- Respond to security incidents and emergencies in a timely and effective manner.
- Investigate security breaches and incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies to maintain a strong working relationship.
- Team Management:
- Recruit, hire, train, and supervise security personnel.
- Evaluate employee performance and provide feedback and coaching.
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of security staff.
- Manage the security department's budget and resources effectively.
- Guest Safety and Security:
- Implement measures to ensure the safety and security of guests, including escort services, emergency procedures, and guest room security.
- Respond to guest concerns and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with other departments to maintain a safe and secure environment for guests and employees.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in security management, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of security systems and technologies.
- Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions.
- Valid security license or certification (if required by local regulations).
- Proficiency in relevant computer software (e.g., security management systems, incident reporting software).
