Medical Records Technician

About the Position: This position is located within the Patient Administration Department at Naval Hospital Bremerton in Bremerton, Washington. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.

Technical evaluation of medical records and registration of new patients.

Compile reports and files appropriate forms regarding medical records as needed.

Ensure medical records are readily available for patient care, quality assurance, audits, legal reviews, etc.

Perform weekly quality review that includes review and screening of medical records to ensure medical records are properly filed and sequenced.

Screen and analyze medical records of beneficiaries.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
