AUTOMOTIVE MECHANIC

This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Interested applicants must follow the directions in the "How to Apply" section of this flyer to be considered. There may or may not be actual vacancies filled from this flyer. Notice of Result letters will not be sent to applicants who respond to this flyer.

You will troubleshoot defects and diagnose malfunctions using reports, diagnostic computer printouts, visual inspection, and auditory tests.

You will use navigate automotive diagnostic software prompts and input data using laptops, tablets or scan-tool devices to retrieve diagnostic codes and other critical information from vehicle onboard computer systems.

You will remove, clean, repair, overhaul and/or maintain complex major components and systems.

You will tear down and rebuild or replace components and assemblies.

You will interpret and apply manufacturers' repair manuals and technical specifications, schematics, engineering drawings, diagnostic codes, computer printouts and environmental and safety manuals to ensure completed work meets specifications.

You will use safe practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations.

You will be required to use basic tools and equipment such as torque wrenches, brake tools, analyzers, circuit testes and tachometers.

You must be proficient in reading and interpreting parts manuals and manufacturers' repair manuals.
