JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Operate the Evaporator, Dryer, and/or Pasteurizer in a manner to maximize throughput and maintain high product quality

Make adjustments to the Evaporator and Dryer systems to maximize run time and operational efficiency

Pull fluid inventory every night and maintain accurate, legible, and orderly production logs

Pasteurize all cream designated for the butter room

Perform Clean-In-Place (CIP) on processing equipment, Evaporator systems, and fluid lines

Pull samples for lab analysis and perform required data entry within the SAP system

Perform good housekeeping to maintain clean and safe working areas

Maintain open communication and notify supervisor or lead of any operational issues or nonconformities

Strictly adhere to all DFA Quality, Food Safety, Safety, and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) policies and procedures

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
-
Powder Bagging and Receiving experience preferred

Dairy processing or manufacturing experience preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division across all units of measure)

Good working knowledge of the processing area and the butter room
-
Ability to perform required transaction functions within the SAP system

Ability to troubleshoot operating difficulties and make necessary equipment adjustments
-
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team or independently

Ability to follow directions, meet deadlines, and adhere to all safety guidelines
