Cycle Counter - Days

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

To improve inventory accuracy using system generated cycle counting, determining root cause and corrective actions.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Work with other cycle counters to ensure counts are on time.
• Work with all Materials Personnel to ensure inventory is accurate.
• Assist Materials Control Supervisor with reconciliation of Audits (Dock, Empty Bin, Axle)
• Ensure discrepancies are fixed in a timely manner.
• Conduct root cause analysis and determine at corrective actions.
• Assist Planners in maintaining system integrity.

NECESSARY SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• One-year MRP experience preferred.
• Intermediate skill level using Microsoft Excel preferred.
• Ability to analyze and resolve inventory inaccuracies. 
• Ability to recognize and identify areas for improvement.
• Competent with all required documentation.
• Proven ability to use AS400/KBM.
• Knowledge of TS requirements.
• Ability to perform weight count verifications.
• Understand the complexity of inventory back flush and material flow preferred.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• High School diploma or G.E.D. required.

PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS:

• Works well independently.
• High attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Solid communication skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Constant standing, walking, reaching, balancing, cervical spine motion, lower extremities, and simple grasp
• Frequent forward bending, squatting, kneeling, and climbing
• Lifting and carrying up to 50lbs
