English Language Learner (ELL/ESL) Teacher

Description

Providence Englewood Charter School (PECS) is seeking an English Language Learner (ELL/ESL Teacher) to support elementary students in developing their English language skills and achieving academic success.

The EL Teacher will provide direct instruction to English Learners through small-group, push-in, and/or pull-out support. The teacher will also collaborate with classroom teachers to ensure EL students have the appropriate strategies, accommodations, and support needed to access grade-level instruction.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct instruction and support to English Learners.
• Support students in speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to support EL students across content areas.
• Monitor student progress and use data to guide instruction.
• Support ACCESS/WIDA testing and required EL documentation.
• Communicate and build positive relationships with students and families.
• Ensure EL services meet school, state, and federal requirements.

Requirements

 Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree.
• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL).
• ESL and/or Bilingual endorsement, as required.
• Experience working with English Learners preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
