LEAD FIREFIGHTER (BLS/HAZMAT OPS)

You will serve as a LEAD FIREFIGHTER (BASIC LIFE SUPPORT/ HAZMAT OPS) in the Navy Fire and Emergency Services of NAVAL AIR FACILITY EL CENTRO.

You will perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) or automatic external defibrillation (AED) during respiratory and cardiac emergencies.

You will perform a fire protection inspection of a building or storage facility to identify actual or potential fire hazards or fire safety deficiencies.

You will lead a crew of three or more firefighters assigned to staff a pumper, aerial ladder truck, or rescue vehicle in firefighting and rescue operations.

You will operate firefighting equipment (e.g., pumps, foam generators, boom, ground sweep nozzles) to control or eliminate fires.

You will determine the potential harm of hazardous material to people and the environment.
