As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a behavioral health setting, maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents. You will support a welcoming environment through professional communication, responsive customer service, and appropriate assistance with behavioral situations, including restraining individuals when needed. - Provide customer service to staff, visitors, clients, and members of the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of mental health care facilities, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting appropriate personnel or emergency services as needed.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with access control procedures, and maintain awareness of authorized and unauthorized persons on the property.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and security-related concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
Minimum Requirements:
- Speak, read, and write fluent Spanish.
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
- A guard card/license is preferred.
- At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
