FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST

About the Position: The U.S. Military Entrance Processing Command, headquartered in North Chicago, IL, is a jointly staffed command, staffed by representatives of all branches of the Armed Forces. The command, through its 66 military processing locations (Military Entrance Processing Stations (MEPS)/Remote Processing Stations (RPS)), determines whether applicants are qualified for enlistment based on standards set by each of the services. This is a Permanent position.

As a Financial Management Analyst, you will:

Analyze financial data or information from a variety of automated systems.

Utilize financial data from several automated systems to perform complex analysis of transactions.

Analyze automated system outputs to identify potential problems or trends.

Monitor the travel card accounting policy for the organization.

Advise managers on financial matters to meet mission requirements.

Reconcile or review unliquidated obligations, unfilled orders and minor appropriations.

Review financial documentation to ensure accuracy and funding availability.

Prepare and analyze financial reports (i.e., quarterly reports, year-end status reports, obligation flash reports, etc.).
