Rewind Inspector

Summary/Objective

The Rewind Inspector’s primary function is to inspect rolls of printed products to ensure customer specifications and quality standards are met.

Essential Functions

• Lift label rolls onto finishing machinery.
• Set up finishing equipment such as rewind slitting machines, film slitting machines, shrink film.

seamers, doctor machines, scales, etc. by use of Factory Orders, proofs, job history files, customer samples, shrink film templates and other verbal, written and printed instructions.

• Set up scanning equipment pursuant to job specifications if applicable.
• Operate finishing machinery by control mechanisms such as buttons, knobs, hand tools,

monitors, screens, levers, etc.

• Inspect product for imperfections based on job specifications.
• Detect and eliminate defective products.
• Splicing, taping, seaming, rewinding, packaging, and sorting pursuant to job specifications.

• Review computer scanning of product for non-visually detected imperfections. Adjust and/or replace accordingly.

• Process and finish product in an expedient manner.
• Ability to perform other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned.

Required Education/Experience:

High School Diploma and / or Equivalent

Required Experience:

Current/previous Rewind/Finishing experience in a Label Manufacturing environment.
